I ordered a Samsung Galaxy Tab on 19th Jan 2012. Order said they gonna deliver in 2-4 businees days. After 1 week I enquired about the order. They said they were off due to Chinese Newyear Holiday, but would be delivered right after 30th Jan. Then nothing happened. I sent them an email and got this reply "....After checking your order, we wish to inform you that due to a sudden large influx of daily sales generated by our latest promotions, our dispatch times have been slightly affected and thus resulting in unfortunate delays....".
Finally on yesterday I asked for calcelling the order with full refund. They said its gonna take 2-3 days to refund. Now fingers crossed.
In summary DON'T go for this company.
My experience 6th until januari the 27th.
*1) placed an order for a Galaxy-tab 10.1 on jan 6th, 2012.
*2) fully payed the order by jan 6th, 2012.
*3) received order confirmation from SE, jan 6 2012 and transaction confirmation from moneybookers.com, jan.6 2012.
*4) wrote several emails questioning when i can receive my order: SE can't give any indication about that, caused by the great december demand; they are very busy.
*5) had telephone contact twice with the customer serv.dept.: yes!, i came through :-)! their automated system of ours of waiting.
*6) last telephone contact: 26th jan.2012. Result: they will dispatch my order today (the 26th) so i can expect my delivery on monday, jan. 30th at home! I sent an email confirming this telephone-commitment.
*7) today, jan.27th 2012, again i receive a SimplyElectronics (rection)email :
SE stated "In regards to your order, we are still suffering from backlogs and we are doing our best to dispatch all orders as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we are still unable to give an estimated dispatch date at the moment. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.". Signed by Robin.
In fact, the same email as the past say 21 days. While yesterday i had a delivery-commitment by phone.
I'll wait until tuesday, the 31th of januari 2012 for my order to be delivered.
If you all don't hear from me after the 1 of march than i would say: ok, this company is ok they only have to organize their logistics, maybe. Anyhow, they delivered.
Otherwise, i'll start for a refund at SimplyElectronics and inform here the status, day by day.
FOR NOW: 3 STARS. Might get to 5 or 0. Just depends on SimplyElectronics.
I bought a camera, it was about £50 cheaper here then anywhere else. It broke, I sent it off to them to fix. They have had it for 2 months and have not contacted me once about the repair. I keep emailing and they keep replying with their scripted answer that my camera is still undergoing necessary diagnostics and repair. I have no idea how to get my camera back.
I have ordered samsung galaxy sII phone 3 weeks ago. When i called last week they told that they are experiencing backlog in warehouse and said that i should get it until Friday. I need that phone for next week for business trip and now i can't even cancel the order as i don't have time to hold on the line as the waiting time is 1 hour! I have sent 5 emails already, but nobody ever responses. The worst online company i have bought from! Wouldn't recommend even for my enemy.
I purchased this product in January 2011. I had researched the sourcing of the product and I weighed up the options of buying in Ireland verses a purchase from SE. The online saving was very substantial. After reading reviews I had some doubts about buying from SE but reviews have been proven wrong in the past. I rang customer services and had a list of questions. Though still a bit dubious I was happy with the answers.
I received a ref number to my email address. Customer Care had also given my a tracking number. I took deliver about a week later.
My experience with SE was faultless and I would happily use the company in the future. Jim.
I am a fairly seasoned internet buyer, and I checked all the reviews prior to making my purchase back on 8th December. At the time, there were mostly positive with the odd difficulty. So, placed an order for an Apple TV. Tried to chase by phone when it didn't arrive by 20/12 but never got through, despite the alleged "call held in a queue" rubbish. Eventually got an answer to my cancellation email on 26/12, and still have not had a refund. I doubt it's coming so will need to claim back via my credit card.
If you are considering ordering, try phoning to speak to customer service. If you find you get through quickly, then perhaps they've changed. I doubt you will and I doubt they have. You might make a small saving if they come through with the order, or you might lose you cash whilst you try and sort it out with you credit card. Worth the risk?

My order was payed via paypal 26 January 2012. As promised on the website it should be delivered 3 Feb.
3 February 2012 I call customer service, after 44 minutes waiting on hold I receive an answer that no one can give me an answer where is my item and when I receive it, and probably it will be delivered early next week.
Next week 7 Feb I call again. After 48 minutes waiting on hold I get the same sh*t as an answer. So after 13 days from the order is payed my order status in My Account page marked still as NEW and customer service has no idea where is the item, they ask me to wait but they don't say for how long more.
Today I canceled the order and I'm wondering how long will it take to get my money back. So Hope dies the last.

The delivery of Lens (the third within 2 years), was outstanding. The 2-8 days was easily surpassed.
A date and time-slot (1 hour) was given and met. I wish all internet deliveries were able to give a time of day. The lens itself a Canon needs no review its a Canon . Fantastic!!! *****
You do need to e-mail, to get a response. The delivery was then changed to next day NO CHARGE
After reading mixed reviews I decided to give these ago with an IPAD 2, what a mistake! After placing order I had to ring them 3 days later as I had no confirmation of my order, after been cut off 3 times after getting to No1 in the que i finally got through to someone who said my order was all ready to go and should be with my in a day or two from the warehouse in Reading. 4 DAYS later I had to ring up again to chase my order as web site still showed my order as new. After finally getting through I was told there was a back log and would be with me next week. At this point I canceled my order with them and purchased elsewhere. If your thinking of maybe giving them a go DONT!!!
It took a lot of soul searching before I purchased from Simply Electronics (SE from here on out in this review). I have been using B&H for years, but they did not have the Nikon package I wanted. I found SE and spent a week trying to decide if I wanted to use a firm from Hong Kong. I read a few of their reviews and figure if I used paypal and there was an issue, paypal could step in. SE's website states that you should have your order in 2-8 days. My package was late and I never saw any changes to my order status. I sent them an email and did not get a reply in the 24 hours as their website promises. At this point I was getting concerned and angry. I calmed down and remembered it was just a camera and not to get angry over an item. It is after all just a camera and not like a new heart or liver needed to survive. I wrote a 2nd info request that was quickly answered and told me my item would be shipped that day and I would have it tomorrow. I laughed to myself thinking I was just told a lie. How would they get it to the East Coast from Hong Kong in 24 hours?!!!
Well shut my mouth and call me a fool, because it arrived just as they said and in perfect condition. I could not be happier and more impressed with SE. I plan to use them again! What a great company and great speed to address my concerns!

I have ordered a number of lenses and cameras from Simply Electronics over the past 6 months. I agree that their delivery times are longer they what they state on the web site. But if you balance the longer delivery times with the cost savings I believe they offer great value. The last lens I ordered got to the 8 working days and it still was not dispatched, and I needed it for a shoot, I did contact their customer service department via e-mail. I received a response within an hour confirming that they would get a customer reprehensive to look in to the current status with the delivery of my lens. The next working day I received an e-mail update on my lens, and an offer to send the item by courier express deliver free of charge. My lens arrived within two days as they stated. I received further e-mail updates from customer service during the two days to keep my informed.
If you need your goods quickly then pay the additional £8.00 for express delivery. Do not try and contact the customer services via the telephone number, it takes too long, send an e-mail instead; they have always been very quick to respond to me.
i ordered a canon camera which was "in stock", was told thre was a slight delay with processing the order even though i had paid for next day delivery. Here I am a month later with no camera and no refund after requesting one 2 weeks ago. Shocking company that has terrible customer services.
AVOID THIS WEBSITE. pay the extra to go with a more well known company that you can trust!!

I ordered a Sony Xperia Arc S. This was in stock. They said they will dispatch in 2-3 days. 14 days later no product. Don't bother calling them I've tried waiting on the phone for nearly 4 hours in total.
I've sent them over 30 mails requesting an update. My order status on the website never moves from "New". They responded to me last week stating they will expedite delivery and I will receive the goods in 24 hours. They claimed being too busy. Then today they say they do not know when I will get the goods. What I don;t understand is why take my money? Why say the goods were in stock.
There is a trend of the same level of customer service being experienced by all disappointed people who have bought from them. They take your money and cannot deliver. Stay away!!! I'm still communicating with them to get a refund.
I would advise anyone to contact Trading Standards, Chinese Embassy of Trade in London, Kwikchex ( A company that gives them a quality assurance rating) LOL!!!! Most importantly contact your bank, Paypal etc to get your money back.

They say they have something in stock online. You order it and they take you money. They then contact you to say that will send it. I cancelled my order and was assured I would have the refund in 5 working days. That is over 5 weeks ago and I am still chasing.
Everytime I call it takes over 40 minutes to speak to someone.

After 4 days I looked at my order but it was still showing as new. Sent a question about how long before they dispatched. Whilst waiting for a reply I noticed these reviews. Had a reply 8 days after ordering saying that they were doing all they could to dispatch my order soon.
This seemed strange for a item they had in stock.
Contacted Pay Pal to ask advice. Pay pal opened a dispute and within 1 hours I had a full refund.
Then ordered mid day from a uk company on e bay. Cost was £5 more for postage good delivered next day.
Shame as Simply electronics seemed good but just wasted my, pay pal and their own time.
I made an order on December 23rd.
I got charged for the order right away.
After 1 week of no details on the shipment I made an inquiry. I received a nice "template response" stating that they are doing the best they can due to large backlog of orders.
After 3-4 more inquires each week, suddenly out of the blue they told me that actually they had shipped the order but it was damaged (which is not believable since no shipment details were issued at all!).
They asked me to choose another product (I guess the last one they got damaged during shipment, ha?!). Eventually I agreed because I was already pissed off.
But yet again 2 weeks and no news about the new shipment.
Several new inquiries were made for which they continue to reply with same template response without and detail or commitment the shipment to be made. I hope I will get my order til end of 2012...
If you like to pay immediately, receive your shipment in 2-3 months, receive NO customer support what so ever - I strongly recommend Simply Electronics.

Ordered two smartphones on Jan. 23rd (from the US) for delivery in 3-8 business days. Transaction confirmation received the next day. Then no news, no answer to my email and phone line (supposedly "24h") always busy during business hours... Will increase rating if things improve.
I ordered a camera and lenses from this organisation on January 23rd 2012. They deducted 519.95 euro on this date via moneybookers.com. Today is February 3rd. There is no sign of my order being despatched despite numerous enquiries which receive only a standard automated response feeding me what is,quite plainly lies. I am sick of waiting on the phone because these people only want your money. Looks like a scam to me . Zero rating. I have contacted the Chinese embassy in Dublin with a view to having this organisation held to account for its activities. Dont touch them with a forty foot pole.

Simply Electronics's website will tell you that they have the goods in stock and indicate that they can deliver in 1-2 business days. They immediately took the money and nothing more happened. After a week I complained and received an email that didn't explain why they had not shipped. 4 days later I cancelled. After another 4 days, they returned my money to my Paypal account.
I still wonder why they didn't give some kind of explanation of why they didn't give any explanation for the delay. I would ahve accepted any reasonable explanation. The goods were indicated as being in stock from day 1 and still are. Do they live on the credit from their customers?
I ordered a lens and 2 filters from this company 3 weeks ago. All items were listed as in stock and that was confirmed when I phoned last week. But after 3 weeks I'm still waiting for them to send me the items.
They take the money from your credit card as soon as you place the order but as yet I've not had the promised notification of dispatch or the goods I've paid for.

I don't have the option to give this company a no star rating but please note, do not order from this company. After a 2 weeks delay on a £599 Ipad 2, no ETA and lousy customer service (2 sales reps hung up twice) they refused to transfer the call to a manager, would not give me the name of the manager/director or even their own details. When I asked for a refund they said it would take another 5 working days. I swiftly contacted Paypal and was issued a refund within 5 minutes. Also did some research and they are not registered on company house but guessed that if their headquarters are based in Hong Kong then perhaps that's where their warehouse is. If they are using a drop ship service then they should display this on their site in an open and honest manner.
I ordered a Ducky DK9008 Shine mechanical keyboard. Website showed that 4 items were still in stock. Received a confirmation of my order saying it would be shipped in estimately 1-2 days and should arrive in the Netherlands after 2-7 days.
After a few days i got impatient so sent a mail. This was not answered within 24 hours. After 2,5 days i received a polite e-mail with pretty much no extra information. After a week of waiting I assumed it would probably take ages to ship my item, so i cancelled my order through PayPal. I received a refund within a few hours which was exceptionally fast and against all expectations.
Bottom line: They do not seem like scammers, but are a very unreliable company with bad communication. Then again the prices are exceptionally low.
Transformer Prime US Model
Maybe they would have delivered eventually but their appalling customer service does not inspire confidence. Emails take several days to be answered (in a cut-and-paste fashion) and the phone line is staffed by surly, uninformative reps and takes an age to work through the queuing system. Despite showing in stock at the point of ordering and promptly taking payment when the order was placed they were never able to give a delivery date, despite the advised delivery date coming and going.
Due to the mixed reviews and technical issues with the Transformer Prime I had little faith in resolving any problems with a company that puts such a distance between themselves and their customers.
I am now sat waiting for a response to my request to cancel my order and have been told that the refund will take 5 working days to land back in my account. Once they have got around to acknowledging my email, of course.
Still no acknowledgement of my cancellation email, but my order status has changed to 'Refund in progress'. I've opened a case with Money Booker, who handled the card transaction, to apply a little urgency. I don't want to have to wait the 6-8 weeks for a refund like some of the unfortunate souls on this site.
Ordered two lenses on 1-23-2012, waited 8 days for delivery (1-2 to complete order and 3-8 days for delivery should be expected according to the website). I never got a tracking number so I called them to get one on 1-31-2012.They informed me that the order had not been put through yet (even though I received an e-mail saying different and have been $1,685 short this week). I proceeded to ask how it could take so long to prepare a product for shipping that they supposedly have, they answered by asking me if I just wanted to cancel the order, I said I probably would but still wanted to know the answer to my original question, then I got told that I was being rude and that they were going to hang-up on me. I called again 10 minutes later (estimated wait time 1 minute) after almost 7 minutes of waiting for an answer I hung up and proceeded to cancel my order through e-mail.

Same did not check reviews before. Ordered lens on 21/1/12 order status new. Stills shows new today (31/1) emailed them on 27/1 to find out why no status update, got automated reply somebosy will contact within 24 hours - nobody replied. Emailed them twice on 30/1 got 2 automated responses - somebody will contact you within 24 hours - never did. Emailed them twcie today (31/1) and got 2 more automated responses. Order status still shows as new but the lens which this morning was showing as having 9 in stock has now been reomved from the site. I have now cancelled and you guessed it I got another automated response. I have now disputed the transaction iwth my credit card company under section 75 of the consumer goods act. Total nightmare
Summary - dont be fooled by the price, they are not a UK company that that porport to be they are in hokn kong and you will not get uk guarantee. Simple dont buy, go anywhere else

Received email reply on 30/01/2012 son no 24 hour reply as stated. Also rang them on 26/01/2012 and the adviser said It should be despatched by Monday the latest and I should receive it by Wednesday which is the 8 working days limit that is stated on website. Today after about 40 minutes waiting on the line spoke to another advisor from customer services and he said he cannot say when the item with dispatch and he recognised that tomorrow is the 8 working day and he didn't know when it could be dispatched let alone delivered so I decided to cancel as I am going holiday on the 6/02/2012 and there is no chance I will receive the item by friday. So today i send a cancellation request and just gota wait for a reply. I've read reviews of people that have been waiting up to 3 months for a refund so just fingers crossed. I will update the review when and if I recieve a refund. So far it has been a nightmare experience and regardless of what happens after today I will never shop from them again. When u spend 365 pounds u expect at least to be kept up to date with the process and these guys leave u completely in the dark. This is not a way to treat customers. So if you haven't bought yet I would advise to shop from a uk website.
Like everybody else who have written in recently this company is the pits. Placed my order for a Canon 24-105 mm lens plus a filter at a total cost of about £700 on 29 November 2011, and despite 10 or more emails and trying to ring up, I got nowhere. They have had my money for 2 months, with no intention of delivering the item. I am now persuing through Mastercard to get my money back. Never, ever deal with this company. At least 90% of you will be disappointed and very upset.

I ordered a lens for my Canon and an HD-helmet cam for my trip to the States end of Jan. As it said these were in stock and delivery was supposed to be fast, I placed an order for near 400 euros.
Status is STILL set as "new", and I have waited the ridicilous amounts of time on the phone 4 times now, and sent e-mails 4 times. The latest yesterday. Still no reply to that one. Same thing in all previous ones "Yes, back log for Xmas" was the first excuse. Then I called and mailed agian, as my trip was nearing, they told me the products would be shipped express to make it in time, I was PROMISED delivery 1-2 days before my trip. Two days before I call to confirm, and no reply.
So I had to leave for 3 weeks without the gear that would have made the WORLD of difference on the trip, in all ways. Of course I didn´t want to buy new gear either as I had already paid via CC and Moneybookers.
I came home this sunday, and no further communication on e-mail, and order status is STILL set as "new".
It really feels insanely bad as 1. The memorable trip couldn´t be caught on camera or pictures as intended. 2. I am short on cash in general, and putting my savings on gear I am not getting just makes me want to cry... 3. Feel helpless as nothing happens and noone replies or answers, and I really can not afford to lose 400 euros like this.
If someone has some good ideas, or a link / email etc to Moneybookers for cases like these, and how the process works, please share! Getting desperate here... =(
Thieves and liars the lot of them. They take your money with no intention of supplying goods in a timely manner. I wish i had read the reviews on here first. Also their company advertising is completely misleading claiming to be a UK firm when they are in Hong Kong which i'm pretty sure is illeagal. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY EVER!!!!

My story is same as all others. I placed my order without researching them - my mistake. Nothing delivered after a month with numerous calls and emails. They are fraudsters operating out of Hong Kong. They have an automated english voicemail and automated email replies. I have waited hours for my calls to be answered. Sometimes never. You will get through to sales (if lucky) but not to after-sales. Sales refuse to help. I have contacted my bank and am procesing forms to get my £200 back. I dont give up. After this I will email the Chinese embassy to alert them to the disgracefull practice of a company that operates there. Shame on you Simply Electonics. You are a disgrace to your country.
I placed my order on Jan 16th due to Simply Electronics showing the item as IN STOCK. Today as of Jan 30th still no delivery. My order on the website still shows as New. I did manage to get them on the phone after 75 minutes holding only to be told they have a backlog. I did receive an email update but that just said the same thing, they cannot tell me when they will dispatch my item. I ordered from them because the price was good, ten pounds cheaper than anyone else and the fact that my item was IN STOCK as shown by their 'Live Stock System'. This is obviously complete rubbish. I have given them until today to dispatch unitl I cancel, I will give them 24 hours to refund my payment via Paypal, then I will lodge a grievance. This is too generous probably. So the old saying goes, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is! Serves me right for being in a rush and trying to save a few quid. Back to Amazon it is then.
UPDATE FEB 1ST 2012 - As expected I started a grievance process with Paypal. This sends a message to Simply Electronics. The very next morning I get an email from Paypal saying my grievance case has been CLOSED. An an email from SE saying that they will cancel the order and refund my money. My order status now says 'Refund in Progress"
UPDATE FEB 2ND 2012 - I received a refund from SE overnight and an email confirming the action from SE. As a result I will amend my rating from ONE to TWO stars because a) I did manage to contact them b) I did get my money back without too much trouble.
BUT I will not use them again because their 'Live' stock system is useless and their delivery promises are meaningless. So I don't think this is a scam company that steals your money, they are just very, very slow and unpreditcable with their delivery and stock levels.
I order a HTC sensation on the 11th of January, regretfully didn't check websites like this before doing so, it is now the 30th and no sign of delivery, despite being in contact about 6/7 times through emails.
The email service is a joke it's all form letters, and someone different answers each time, I have ask for a direct email to someone each time I mail them but this is ignored, I have also asked for the reason that they cannot dispatch my phone as they took payment straight away and their website says they have 6 in stock, but some fluffy "Due to a large volume of orders..." comes back. hopefully someday I will get my phone but am considering raising an dispute on paypal!
AVOID THIS COMPANY. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. I ordered a Samsung Galaxy note on 16th Jan 2012. Simplyelectronics took the money from my credit card on 18th January 2012. Since that time I have phoned twice and sent 4 emails and only get automated replies, amd find it impossible to get through thier phone sytem to speak to anyone. I can't say that the customer service is appalling because THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE and up until today 29 Jan 12 NO PRODUCT HAS EVER BEEN DISPATCHED let alone delivered within the stated 8 working days.
Ordered item weeks ago but still haven't received goods, however, they didn't hesitate taking my money as soon as the order was placed.
Service and website are awful. They say they will reply to emails within 24 hours but I'm still waiting 4 days later.
I only used them as they were on the Quidco website. Quidco should remove them asap.
Very slow delivery, item was faulty still waiting refund. Very UN-helpful customer service. I would avoid these at all costs.
